It looks like 17-year-old Kylie Jenner may have had a breast enhancement procedure between the time she shot her most recent Cosmo cover (left) and the time she posted this Instagram photo (right).
“It certainly appears that she’s had breast augmentation surgery.”, says New York Plastic Surgeon Dr. Nicholas Vendemia, who specializes in breast implants.
Dr. Vendemia adds, “Kylie has definitely added some fullness and cleavage since her shoot for Cosmopolitan, and if it is surgical, it looks like a job fairly well done. If she did in fact have breast augmentation surgery, it would be interesting to know whether or not she has saline or silicone breast implants because of her age. The FDA’s recommendation is that women considering cosmetic breast augmentation surgery should be 22 years old before receiving silicone implants, so I would be curious to know which implants Kylie chose. Her implants appear to have settled, which happens for most women around the 2-3 month mark after surgery, and they also appear to be a reasonable size choice for her frame. And regarding the size, I think they look a little larger than they actually are because this is a selfie. When any camera lens is less than 6 feet from the subject, it is possible that the portions of the image that are closest to the lens can be magnified, and I think that’s happening a bit here because Kylie is probably holding her own camera. In theory, a great pushup bra and a camera positioned close enough to her chest could account for the extra size and cleavage, so anything is possible here. It’s very difficult to say whether or not she had surgery without seeing some follow up photos taken at a reasonable distance.”
